Can anyone tell the easiest way to change the power steering and alternator belts on a 1992 toyota tercel.?

what nuts, bolts, pulleys,etc.,etc. do i need to loosen , remove etc., etc., to change out the belts. please don't tell me to go buy a book. i'm mechanically inclined but i need help on this one. i really don't want to take it to a mechanic unless its my last straw . thanks for any help.

Loosen the top and bottom bolt on the alternator and then remove the alternator belt. Loosen the power steering pump and the belt tensioner which is located to the right of the pully. Then take off the belt and reverse the order for installation. The tricky part is the alternator belt as you will need 2 people or long srewdriver to get the belt tight.

well, the easiest way is to let a mechanic do it but since you would rather do it yourself, and thats a good thing, i suggest you go to local autoparts or perhaps bookstore or even library and get a book on the toyota tercel..........it will tell you step by step. book will run somewhere between 15 and 20 probably but if you are going to keep car and do most of the maintenance it is a good investment
